About the role
We're looking for a hands-on Head of Communications & PR to lead Tangem's global communications efforts and increase the company's visibility across crypto, technology, business, and financial media.
This role combines strategic communications leadership with hands-on PR execution. You will be responsible for building relationships with journalists, securing earned media coverage, driving executive thought leadership, and ensuring consistent messaging across all communication channels.
Success in this role will be measured by Tangem's share of voice, media visibility, executive presence, and overall brand credibility within the crypto industry.
What will you do
PR & Media Relations (40%)
- Own and execute Tangem's PR strategy.
- Build and maintain relationships with crypto, tech, business, and financial media.
- Secure earned media coverage for product launches, partnerships, research, and company milestones.
- Proactively pitch stories, commentary, and industry insights.
- Manage interviews, podcasts, speaking opportunities, and executive media appearances.
- Drive thought leadership initiatives and identify reactive PR opportunities.
Communications Leadership (60%)
- Lead Tangem's communications function and manage the communications team.
- Ensure consistent messaging across PR, content, social media, and community channels.
- Develop messaging frameworks, communication guidelines, and spokesperson materials.
- Coordinate communications across teams, stakeholders, and regions.
- Support crisis communications and media relations during sensitive situations.
Must-Have Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in crypto, fintech, Web3, or technology communications.
- Strong network of crypto journalists, editors, and media contacts.
- Proven track record securing earned media coverage.
- Experience pitching stories directly and generating media opportunities.
- Deep understanding of the crypto media landscape and industry narratives.
- Strong writing, messaging, and storytelling skills.
- Hands-on execution mindset.
- Experience managing communications projects, stakeholders, and teams.
