Product Owner: Payment Cards
Tangem is building the world's most advanced self-custodial financial platform, redefining how people store, grow, and spend digital value at global scale.
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Zug, Switzerland, Tangem operates globally across North America, Europe, and APAC. The company pioneered hardware-based self-custody by combining secure smartcard technology with a seamless mobile experience, enabling millions of users to hold and use digital assets with instant setup, zero complexity, and institutional-grade security.
Today, Tangem serves customers in over 220 countries, supporting thousands of digital assets through a single, ultra-secure hardware wallet. Setup takes less than one minute, with no seed phrases, no friction, and no compromise on security. This foundation positions Tangem as one of the few companies capable of bringing self-custody to true mass adoption.
Tangem Pay extends this foundation into real-world finance. It transforms the Tangem Wallet into a full self-custodial payment account, allowing users to seamlessly move from storing value to spending it anywhere cards are accepted globally. The product is live, production-ready, and built to scale across regions, currencies, and regulatory environments. With Tangem Pay, we are not launching "another crypto card." We are building the spending layer of a new financial system where self-custody, payments, and global usability converge. The infrastructure is live, the partners are in place, and the roadmap is designed for rapid global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the product vision and strategy for payment cards as a core part of Tangem's financial ecosystem (Store, Grow, Spend), not as a standalone feature.
- Drive end-to-end product development of card and payment-related products: from discovery and concept validation to delivery, launch, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Translate business goals into clear product initiatives that connect cards with accounts, wallets, P2P payments, investments, and fiat on/off-ramps.
- Lead product discovery: identify user needs, friction points, and opportunities across key user flows (onboarding, payments, spending, portfolio usage).
- Build and maintain product roadmaps aligned with company growth plans, client scale-up targets, and long-term platform strategy.
- Define and prioritize business cases for new card features, payment flows, and integrations, balancing user value, compliance, risk, and unit economics.
- Work closely with engineering, design, compliance, operations, and external partners to ensure reliable, compliant, and scalable delivery.
- Use data to evaluate performance and impact: define success metrics, monitor funnels, unit economics, adoption, retention, and profitability.
- Lead pilot launches and market rollouts, ensuring feedback loops, iteration, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a product ambassador internally and externally: clearly communicate product vision, trade-offs, and priorities to stakeholders and partners.
